Get Gorgeous!

Want to look gorgeous? You need not break your bank for it.Grooming is the way!Grooming is caring for one's personal hygiene and appearance. It speaks volumes about a person's interest in his/her own self. It is something which is essential for both men and women. Make-up without proper grooming will not yield desired results. In this post i want to tell you all ladies how to get gorgeous with proper grooming.

Hair - It is a crowning glory to every woman. Keeping hair clean is important irrespective of hair type.
Make sure you use a good oil to nourish your hair.
Scalp should be free of dirt.Wash your hair atleast twice a week to keep it clean.
Use a good conditioner in order to give it a boost.
While outdoors cover your hair with a scarf to prevent damage from heat and pollution.
Get your hair trimmed periodically to avoid split ends.

Hands & Feet - Cracked feet and rough hands will spoil your look.Use a heavy moisturizer or almond oil to keep them soft and supple throught.
Regular manicure and pedicure will help in maintaining healthy hands and feet.
Keep your nails short. If you want to grow them, see that they are free of dirt.
Allow your nails to breathe once a week instead of continuously wearing nail polish, which may lead to discoloration of nails.

Teeth -A smile is a curve that sets everything straight. To carry a good smile we need to keep our teeth clean.Bad breath will make people run away from you,so use a mouthwash to prevent it.See a dentist once in a while to ensure good condition of your teeth.

Skin - Just like food for our body, our skin too needs food and nourishment.Apart from a healthy diet, it is a regular skin care routine which helps in getting a glowing skin.Follow it religiously and the result will be seen within few weeks.
Cleansing, Toning and Moisturizing is a must twice a day to keep your face glowing.Wash your face with a cleanser or a facewash that suits your skin type. Next apply toner on the face with a cotton ball. Finally apply a generous amount of moisturizer on your face.Along with face, body also needs moisture. So moisturize your body after every shower.
UV rays harm the skin and make it dull and lifeless.Sunscreen is a must whether you stay indoors or go out.  It helps to prevent premature ageing of the skin.So after every three hours apply sunscreen which has a minimum of SPF 40.
Use a good lipbalm to avoid chapped lips.
Invest in a good night cream once you cross your twenties. It helps to regain the moisture and prevent early signs of ageing.Cleanse your face and apply a night cream on face and neck before going to bed.
Smelling good is as important as looking good.So use a mild body spray or a deodorant to avoid any bad odour caused by sweating.
Waxing helps in removing skin tan and unwanted hair. Also be regular to your threading sessions.

Dress Elegantly - The most important part of grooming is getting dressed up elegantly.Wear clothes that are clean and pressed.Sport a look that elevates your personality and experiment with a new look once in a while.Change your accessories according to the occassion and type of dressing.Remember that less is more when you accessorize!

Dressing Up For Workplace

We ladies are always interested in dressing up in colors. But are we differentiating between dressing up for a workplace and dressing up for other places? Here i want to share my thoughts on dressing up for workplace.

  • Know your body: this means one has to have an idea about her body type. Whether it is a small frame or a medium or a large frame. It helps in choosing clothes and accessories which suit to that particular body type.
  • Create a style statement- just because something is in fashion you need not adapt it if it doesn't suit you. Create your own style statement and it becomes a trend if you are able to carry it well.
  • Accessorize: accessories may be your handbag, chain, earrings, footwear, etc. Matching accessories to your dress color will not make you look professional. Instead you can use accessories in neutral colors which will match on every outfit.
  • Pompous: do not show off too much of your status. It will only create distances among people. Remember that it is a place where you need to exhibit your skills but not your status.
  • Make-up: there is no need to project a red carpet look at workplace. So always keep your make up simple yet classic. Regular touch ups will make you look fresh throught.
  • Smile: the last but not the least is to carry a smile on your face. It creates vibes of energy and confidence!
Suggestions are welcome!

Handbag Essentials

Ever thought of carrying the whole world with you? Yes we do that all the time, in a handbag! But is it killing your shoulders? If yes, i have few tips in organizing your world!
  • First things first, select a bag that suits your taste and preference. A roomy bag is a must if you are an employee or a student.
  • List out your everyday essentials.
  • Categorize the essentials based on frequency of usage, like must haves, seasonal, etc.
  • Now find an appropriate place for everything that gets into your bag. This way your bag will not only look organized but also saves time in finding things.
  • Declutter your bag once a week in order to avoid piling of unwanted things like used vouchers and receipts.

Here are a few things every woman should carry with her!

  1. Wallet- It is a good idea to use a wallet to place debit/credit cards, money,  ID cards, driving licence if any, passport sized photographs( because you don't know you need it till you actually need it), receipts and gift coupons.
  2. Make-up purse- This is an essential part of every woman's life. Make-up doesn't mean that you need to paint yourself pink and yellow. But you should look presentable at all times. Being a make up minimalist i suggest few things like compact, mini comb, lip gloss or lipstick, kohl pencil, eyeliner, mascara, body spray, moisturizer/sunscreen, hair ties, etc. and the list varies from person to person.
  3. Pouch- To hold your cell phone charger, flash drive, headphones, ipod.
  4. A small note book, a pen and some stationary.
  5. Miscellaneous items like hand sanitizer, umbrella, scarf, sunglasses.
  6. A snack bar or a few nuts to keep you energized throught.
  7. Headache pills, painkillers and a band-aid.
  8. A novel or a magazine to avoid boredom at times when you need to wait for an appointment.

So these are a few handbag organizing ideas from sirisunnysmiles. The above list is just a guidance and any suggestions are always welcome. Yay this is my first blog and i am done with it!!! Wish me good luck.
